How our Brazilian butt lift (BBL) procedures work.

The Brazilian butt lift surgery is performed under general anaesthesia. The surgery involves three stages: harvesting, processing, and reinjecting. Firstly, liposuction is performed to harvest excess body fat from areas like the back, abdominal area, and thighs. The harvested fat is processed and purified so only the best donor fat cells remain. These cells are then reinjected into the buttocks to improve size, shape, and contour.

Using the latest
technology.

VASER stands for ‘Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance’. It is a liposuction technique that uses ultrasound waves to break up and liquefy fat cells, making them easier to extract.

FAQs

Surgery

Where is the fat taken from?

The most common areas for harvesting fat are the lower back, waist, abdomen, hips and thighs. The upper back and arms can also provide smaller quantities. For thinner patients, we may have to collect from multiple areas however this varies on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the desired goals and size the patient wishes the buttocks to be patients with low body fat may not be a candidate for fat transfer.

How long is the recovery time?

Due to the nature of this treatment and the area of the body, the downtime for this procedure is typically around 10-14 days. During this time it is normal to experience some bruising and swelling. However, VASER should negate patients from suffering from much bruising. Patients can expect to wear compression clothing, this will be under the guidance of Dr Hayek and will be adapted accordingly on a case-by-case basis. Full recovery from this procedure can be up to 6 months.
