How our upper Blepharoplasty procedures work.
As we age, our skin loses its elasticity and begins to ‘bag’ and ‘sag’, a process which is most immediately noticeable around the eyes. Eyelid surgery can create an immediate rejuvenating effect. Known medically as ‘blepharoplasty’, this procedure can be performed on both upper and lower eyelids. This procedure can be completed under both local and general anesthetic. Patients are able to fly back on the same day as treatment. The full benefits are typically seen after 4-6 weeks post-treatment.

FAQs
Surgery
Am I a candidate for upper Blepharoplasty?
- your upper eyelids sag and hang over your eyes
- you have wrinkles or excess skin in the lower eyelids
- you have bags under your eyes
- you have droopy lower eyelids
- the excess skin in the upper eyelid impairs your vision
When will I notice the results?
You will notice immediately post-surgery. However, you will see the full results at the 4-6 week mark once the swelling has reduced.
What form of anesthesia will be used for my procedure?
An upper blepharoplasty can be done equally well with just local anesthesia or a light general anesthetic. This can often be down to the patient’s preferred choice, with the only main difference being general anesthetic is more expensive.
